Sometimes you have to spend money to make money, and nowhere is that more true
than in the high-stakes world of real estate! HGTV's hit show Designed to Sell
has added an east coast team thatÕs ready to take the DC, Maryland, and
Virginia real estate markets by storm.
The Designed to Sell crew shows how to turn a tired house into a showplace by giving home sellers a $2,000 budget and a team of experts to transform their house into the hottest property on the block. They swoop in with real estate, design, and home improvement tips and work like mad to get to one day, the open house Ð and towards one goal, to get home sellers top dollar for their houses!
about
the host:
Taniya Nayak comes from a fun-loving, creative family from India. Growing up
in Boston, she watched her talented architect father design exquisite homes,
hotels and shopping malls, which sparked her interest in interior design. Shortly
after attending The Boston Architectural College for her master's in interior
design, her design style and upbeat personality landed her her first TV gig
on ABC Family's Knock First, working for Scout Productions (creators of Queer
Eye For the Straight Guy). Nayak was one of four designers/ hosts of the hit
show, geared toward hip, ambitious teens. She then joined HGTV, helping homeowners
get innovative with the things they already have in their homes on the edgy,
new series Freestyle. Besides hosting and designing on television, Nayak is
president and founder of design firm Design Digs, where she adds a fresh, clean
look to both commercial and residential spaces. A large part of her company
focuses on helping people get their tired homes ready for top-dollar sales through
staging and mild renovations. Thus her new connection with the Washington, D.C.,
edition of Designed to Sell.
